Sat. evening went to the one in Astoria for dinner @ 8:00, husband, brother, & wife. They told me to put my down it would be 1 to 1 1/2 hr wait. They take your cell # within 2 minutes called my husband, but then they said it was a mistake. We are next. In the meantime, we sat and ordered a mixed platter of appetizer and some drinks, that $300, plus. 4 hrs later still not called for dinner, manager says sorry next time he w/take care of us.

I have gone to this place on 3 occasions and I must say it was 3 to many. I will never step a foot into this place again. The food is good but the abuse and harassment you take from the bouncers and staff is horrible. On every occasion I have gone there, there was a fight. But the bouncers physically through out the wrong people. So I warn you go spend your hard own cash in a classy place you deserve it. Avoid this dump like the plague. HORRIBLE!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for two years and I wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. It's been a long time since I've had a dining experience like this one. The atmosphere and decor were also fun. My husband and I felt that prices were good and the portions were ample. We will definitely go back!

New Don Coqui in Astoria, Queens Nice ambiance, food - a little too bland for my Puerto Rican taste...music, good, service was attentive, but errors were made (not a big deal, only their second week). I'll try it again, soon, hope they add some garlic and cilantro to our native dishes or else, only the engraved glasses will speak to "a taste of Puerto Rico"! Let's kick it up a notch, Jimmy

I went to Don Coqui for a networking event and I was asked to give my credit card to run a tab..I gave my credit card to the waitress and ordered drinks, the first drink was ok, when I asked the waitress for a second drink she told me to go to the bar and get it myself. I ordered a second drink and when it was time to leave, the waitress lost my credit card. She said she left it on the bar and couldn't find it.HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I visited Don Coqui for the first time on Thursday night. WHAT A DELIGHT! My server was extremely attentive, and left me wanting for nothing. The portion size is tremendous! And WOW is all I can say about the Coquitini! I think I have found a new favorite restaurant! What a surprise to have great food and service accompanied by LIVE SALSA and even a dancing lesson! I highly reccommend Don Coqui to anyone!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Service was not exceptional so I ask to pay 15%. Waiter gets upset and takes off tip from receipt after debate. I still leave $25 tip only for him to come back to return cash and make me feel cheap in front of my date. Worst Valentine's ever! Take you for the everlasting memory Don Coqui!

You know when you've arrived! Music greets you, delicious plates passing by & people are digging in. Try the Fried Pork appetizer, Asopa, and any entree. Two caveats...they DO NOT take reservations for parties under 8, so don't let this be your 1st plan for a special dinner for 2 on a Friday night unless you plan to WAIT...and wait. Second, service can be slow, but it's worth the wait! :)

Loungy atmosphere, great drinks and delicious food make this place a great Friday or Saturday night dinner spot...early dinner unless you want to wait on line and deal with crowds. However, I would have to say that even if you have to wait to park, wait for a seat and wait for dinner the food is definitely worth it.

This is a fun, lively restaurant. I have been here twice and enjoy the food quality as well as the generous portions. The appetizer platter is too expensive and not worth it. Stay light on the appetizers and find treasure in the main course!
