I had the sefood salad as an app and was alittle disapointed because there was no octopus or scungili in it. The viniagrette that the calamari was tossed in was tasty. The trout that i had for my entree was excellent and cooked properly. The gave an alot of sides the the entree. I do have to say that the service was EXCELLENT. They did all of the small things that you expect and rarely get like removing s&p and crumbing the table after entrees and also nowing when to clear a plate depending on the arrangement of the silverware. The decor is horrible though.

Don't let the dim lighting and lack of clientele deter you from a meal at Caravela. The menu offers a hybrid of Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine in a quirky menu that pairs complete meal suggestions. Service is a little gruff, but the food is worth it.

We last ate at this Portuguese standard many years ago. My dishes included Pork Alentejo, which was delicious. My mother, who lived in Portugal several years ago, was dissatisfied with the suckling pig, feeling that it was undercooked. She got sick to her stomach later that evening. Oh, well!

Not as good as it was. Changed menu arranged by type of regional food for the meal (i.e. appetizer, salad, entrée, desert on a page) and not by courses. Too much page turning to find choices.
