My family and I visited the restaurant three times before and the food and service was good. My daughter was looking forward to celebrate her Birthday dinner at half moon, but the day ended up full of dissapointment. The apetizers were okay but the food was really bad and it didn't have any flavor. The service was even worse. Staff was no courteous and neglected to service our table. They didn't even care to sing along the Happy Birthday.

Fabulous view and a great way to enjoy a summer evening. The food is secondary to the experience. If you want great food and a great view there are better places to go to on the Hudson. But, at this price point, it is worth a visit.

Same ownership as Harvest on Hudson - more relaxed menu and not as pricey. But it lacks the polish and experience of its bigger cousin.

My girlfriends and I went to Half Moon for Restuarant Week. What a beautiful resturant!! The food and the service were very good. I will request a table by the window next time we saw a gorgeous sunset over the mountains in NJ. My only complaint was the lighting was a bit too DARK form me.

Waterfront dining doesnt have to be expensive and BAD. This place is so in-cosistent and over priced. The last time i ate here there was so some REALLY bad band playing way TOO loud at the bar, you could not get far enough away. It was like a scence from the 'Jersey Shore'. If you want to sit by the water and eat, pack your own food and head to one of the waterfront parks in the river towns, DONT go to this place, i tried it 4 times.

By far the greatest restaurant in Hudson Valley! The decor and ambiance complement the wonderful dishes and tasty and creative drinks. Great for a summer night hangout with the gorgeous scenery of the hudson river out on the patios. Our nights are always close to perfection thanks to the friendly and prompt service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A

The soft relaxing music complemented the delicious tequila shrimp and cilantro rice. Not untillI had the delicious buttery asparagus in my mouth did I feel like I was on an upscale cruise ship. The service was by far top notch. I felt like there was nothing that I needed all night thanks to the knowledgeable wait staff.

Still a great spot in terms of view and layout. Service is usually quite good to almost excellent, and they have some very knowledgeable waiters. But the food offerings are limited and not always as fresh as they had been when the place first opened. Great bar scene and spectacular views, especially summer evenings outside. They need to bring the food up to the level of the ambience.
